Granite Countertop Supply: Graded Lots, Batch Photos, Schedule Release

Most granite countertop supply fails between containers, not at the factory gate: ungraded lots, drifting base tone and no batch identity. We grade slabs at the quarry, document every container and release against your schedule.

Granite slab polishing line producing countertop-grade slabs with batch documentation

The buyer's pain point and our technical solution

Finding granite countertop suppliers is easy; finding one whose month-six container matches the sample that won your job is not. Granite is usually the cheapest line in a stone quotation, so slab buying drifts toward whoever answers fastest — and the predictable result reaches the fabrication shop a container later: slabs from ungraded lots, fabric defects that only show at the bridge saw, base tone that drifts between shipments, and no batch identity to trace a claim to. For a fabricator that means unpredictable yield; for a dealer, stock that cannot be quoted consistently; for a project buyer, phase two that no longer matches phase one.

What uncontrolled lots cost the buyer

Every hidden defect discovered at cutting is paid twice: once in the slab and again in the re-cut and re-freight that replaces it. Tone drift between containers turns a repeatable product into a negotiation. And because the problem surfaces at your shop or on your site — not at the supplier's gate — the burden of proof falls on the buyer unless batch records exist.

Our solution: graded lots, batch photos, schedule release

  • Quarry-level grading: slabs are graded on pattern consistency and base tone before they enter our supply — Grade A Premium for visible work, Grade B Commercial for paving and cladding, so the grade you pay for is the grade that ships.
  • Batch identity end to end: every container carries batch numbers, photos and grade labels; thickness (18/20/30 mm — about 3/4 to 1-1/4 in) and finish (polished, honed, flamed, brushed) are declared on the packing list and checked before packing.
  • Schedule-based release: phased projects reserve slabs from one graded lot and release against your construction schedule, not warehouse availability — the mechanism that keeps phase two matched to phase one.
  • Stone Sample Matching: our pre-sales program matches replacement and continuation orders against your control sample with photographed candidate lots, so repairs stay invisible.
  • Program scale: MOQ from 50 m² (about 538 sq ft) per thickness/finish combination, lead time 25–35 days from drawing approval, third-party inspection arranged on request.

Value for the buyer

You quote the whole program on one defined material instead of hoping the next container resembles the last — and when something does go wrong, the batch record tells you where to look.

Documented project cases

  1. Fabricator consolidation onto one matched granite program

    Client / commission
    Countertop fabricator, North America
    Stone used
Bianco Crystal and Sea Wave granite slabs for countertop fabrication, 20 mm and 30 mm
    What it solved
Fabricator sourced slabs from three traders; slabs arrived with mixed grading and hidden fabric defects that surfaced during cutting
    Before
Yield unpredictable between containers, re-cutting charges absorbed by the fabricator, no batch identity to trace claims to
    Now
Single graded-lot supply with batch photos per container and pre-shipment inspection records; yield stabilized across consecutive containers
    Where the data comes from
Company order records and fabricator follow-up notes
  2. Dealer stock program with thickness mix

    Client / commission
    Stone dealer, Europe
    Stone used
Sea Wave granite slabs, 18/20/30 mm, mixed polished and flamed
    What it solved
Dealer warehouse stocked slabs from unlabelled lots; sales team could not quote consistent material from stock
    Before
Every container looked different, repeat orders drifted in base tone, dealers discounted slow-moving mismatched stock
    Now
Batch-numbered, photo-documented containers with declared thickness mix; repeat stock orders matched the previous container by grade record
    Where the data comes from
Company order records and dealer intake notes
  3. Replacement slab match via Stone Sample Matching

    Client / commission
Fabricator replacing damaged slabs from another supplier
    Stone used
Granite slab matching against client control sample
    What it solved
Original supplier could not provide a matching replacement after a breakage mid-project
    Before
Project stall while the fabricator searched locally; risk of a visibly different field
    Now
Handled through our Stone Sample Matching pre-sales program: candidate lots photographed against the control sample and matched before shipping
    Where the data comes from
Company pre-sales technical records (Stone Sample Matching programme)

Client reviews and ratings

Client reviews on file for slab and countertop supply programs (star ratings drawn from our order records and follow-up notes):

  • ★★★★★

Countertop fabricator, North America: “Batch photos settled the one claim we had in minutes instead of weeks — we could point to the exact container and lot.” Verifiable result: claim resolved with batch record evidence (source: fabricator follow-up note on file).

  • ★★★★☆

Stone dealer, Europe: “Repeat stock orders now match the previous container because the grade record travels with it. Pricing transparency on grading could be clearer.” Verifiable result: repeat stock orders matched by grade record across consecutive containers (source: dealer intake notes).

  • ★★★★★

Project buyer, Middle East: “Phase two arrived matching phase one — the reservation system worked exactly as quoted.” Verifiable result: phased delivery held to one graded lot across the project (source: project order file).

Procurement FAQ

Do you supply granite countertop slabs to fabrication shops, not only finished countertops?
Yes. We supply graded granite slabs in 18 mm, 20 mm (about 3/4 in) and 30 mm (about 1-1/4 in) for fabricators, plus finished countertop programs when drawings are provided. The same lot can feed both.
How do you keep quality consistent between containers?
Slabs are graded at the quarry on pattern consistency and base tone, batch-numbered, photographed and released against your schedule. Each container carries batch photos and grade labels, so repeat orders trace to records instead of memory.
What finishes are available?
Polished, honed, flamed and brushed. Polished dominates kitchen programs; honed and flamed serve matte and outdoor uses. Finish and thickness belong on the purchase order and are checked before packing.
What is the minimum order?
MOQ starts from 50 m² (about 538 sq ft) per thickness/finish combination, sized for genuine fabrication or stock programs.
Can you match a replacement slab to an existing installation?
Yes, through our Stone Sample Matching pre-sales program: candidate lots are photographed against your control sample and matched before anything ships. Natural stone veining never repeats identically, so we say plainly what matches — the controls and the ground tone.
