Tumbled Marble Tiles: The Aged Read, Done Honestly
Tumbled stone buys a process, not just a texture: wider joints to approve, sealing to specify, and mixed-finish programs that drift without one-lot discipline. We tumble for real, seal in writing and keep finishes in one family.

The buyer's pain point and our technical solution
Tumbled marble tiles answer a demand polished stone never can: a floor that looks like it has always been there. Buyers searching tumbled marble tiles are chasing the farmhouse, cellar and old-world reads — and hitting three supply problems the finish itself creates. Tumbled edges need wider joints that must be approved on a laid sample, the open surface needs a written sealing regime, and mixed-finish programs (tumbled floors, honed walls) drift into a tone split when the finishes come from separate suppliers. A tumbled program buys a process and a lot discipline, not just a texture.
What that costs the buyer
A polished field in a rustic interior breaks the design language the project was built on. An unsealed tumbled wet zone darkens and stays dark. And a tone split at the floor-wall junction is the detail visitors see first — the one no lighting plan can hide.
Our solution: the process, the sealing, the one-lot rule
- Genuine tumbling: edges and surfaces softened by process, not print — the aged read that holds up in person and in photographs.
- Sealing regime in the order: tumbled stone is more absorbent than polished; wet zones ship with the water-repellent specification written down.
- One lot family across finishes: tumbled floors and honed or brushed walls cut from the same lot, so mixed-texture programs read as one stone.
- Joint and module guidance: 12 x 12 in with 6 x 12 in borders as the classic layout; joint width approved on laid samples before the full order.
- Grip where it matters: cellars, wet rooms and poolside read old-world while meeting the slip requirements polished floors cannot.
Value for the buyer
The floor looks lived-in from day one, the wet zones keep their tone, and the floor-wall junction reads as one stone in two textures.

Procurement FAQ
- What is a tumbled finish, exactly?
- Tiles are tumbled with abrasives until edges round off and the surface softens into an aged read — a genuine process result, not a printed imitation. The finish is more absorbent than polished, so the sealing routine is written into the order documents.
- Is tumbled stone suitable for wet areas?
- Yes — the texture provides grip under ambient moisture, which is why it is the cellar and wet-room standard. Calcite stones need the water-repellent sealing regime we ship with the tiles, and drainage falls are confirmed with your installer.
- Can tumbled floors and honed walls come from the same stone?
- Yes — both finishes are cut from one lot family with batch photos per shipment, so the floor-wall junction reads as one stone in two textures instead of two suppliers' tones meeting at a corner.
- Which modules work with tumbled edges?
- 12 x 12 in (300 x 300 mm) fields with 6 x 12 in borders are the classic layout; larger modules work but tumbled edges show better at smaller formats. Joint width is approved on a laid sample — tumbled edges read wider than sawn ones.
- What is the minimum order?
- MOQ starts from 50 m² (about 538 sq ft) per thickness/finish combination; single-room renovations are quoted per layout with the same lot-mapping discipline.
